Exercise in Perspective #3 with community directed perspective lines
Kim is the artist who created Now Be Here. She is an internationally exhibiting artist born in Chicago and based in Los Angeles whose work explores the junctures of architecture and the social landscape. Using multimedia site-specific projects that often include public input, the artist prompts the viewer to empathize with different perspectives. Through interruption and shifting perspectives, Schoenstadt creates complex works that reference specific public buildings while simultaneously presenting them in new ways. Her “Now Be Here” Project began in 2016 and seeks equity in the art world for women-identifying and nonbinary artists.
